Kitchen Cabinet Door Styles
- Raised Panel: Raised panels are most often made of hardwood, although wood veneer is growing in popularity. Four wood strips form the frame of the cabinet door. A solid wood panel is fit into the door frame. This panel will have a center section that has been cut to appear elevated, and the edges of the center section can be cut in a variety of shapes and designs.
- Recessed Panel: These have a similar construction to the raised panel options, but the center panel is flat.
- Slab Style: These doors are made from one solid piece of wood. They may have decorative routing around the edges, or the edges might be smooth and plain. These are least expensive options available.
- Glass Cabinets: These are constructed like the recessed panel cabinet doors. They have a wood frame made of four joined wood strips, but they have a decorative glass insert making up the center.
