Decora Cabinets in Ridgewood NJ

Kitchen Cabinets

Trade Mark was hired to design and install Decora Cabinets following a referral from their Architect, Jordan Rosenberg Architects & Associates of Ridgewood, NJ. These homeowners went through several design iterations before arriving at their desired architectural layout, we were able to take full advantage of the additional space to provide everything the homeowners were looking for in their new kitchen design plans.

At the very top of the list was their desire to have a full walk in pantry off the kitchen with floor to ceiling shelving that wraps the room and provides plenty of storage area for bulky appliances that are infrequently used but still need to be handy. Smaller items and quantity of goods can all be neatly organized on shelves and remain highly accessible, the small countertop area provides the perfect spot to gather all your goods before heading into the kitchen.

The second must have was a “big island” – early on in the design process we visited a prior project Trade Mark completed in Mahwah New Jersey where these Ridgewood New Jersey homeowners got to see firsthand an island that is 5‘ x 11‘ long and they fell in love with it! Their island has it all, we designed it with furniture details featuring Decora cabinets with an inset Prescott door, seating for four people, cooktop with is all ventilation above, prep sink and plenty of work surface/storage with organizers. For the island color we considered analytical grey and a few others but finally settled on “Creekstone” which creates a nice contrast with the white kitchen cabinets in the balance of the room.

Next on the list was a custom built in desk complete with file drawers, wooden countertop, Cork Board backsplash and even pigeon hole/letter tray cubbies for paperwork and bills. My inspiration for the design comes from a Victorian twin pedestal desk. The Decora Cabinets are built in wall to wall and floor to ceiling with beautiful decorative two-piece crown molding at the ceiling and furniture base molding at the floor.

Some other key features include a 48” built in Jenn Air refrigerator that was designed to help conceal the walk-in pantry while also providing a thickened threshold to the dining room where I designed a custom vintage view wine rack display. A double oven and warming drawer sit next to an upper and lower cabinet with the whole out tray divider that hold baking sheets and pizza stones. Touchdown glass mullion door cabinets flanking the sink/cleanup area add a bit of drama to the space. LED cabinet lighting has been installed at the undersides of the cabinets as task lighting.

Matching the homeowners desires with the product offerings from Decora cabinets has allowed this Ridgewood New Jersey family to have the kitchen design they have always dreamed about.
