For this Wyckoff family, the existing kitchen felt cramped and closed in, making everyday routines harder than they needed to be. Trade Mark Design & Build was brought in to rethink the layout, elevate the aesthetic, and create a kitchen that truly worked for modern family living. The result is a bright, spacious, and highly functional Wyckoff kitchen remodel that blends custom craftsmanship with thoughtful design.
Reimagining the Floor Plan
Rather than expand the home’s footprint, Trade Mark Design and Build created what the team calls an “internal addition.” By resizing the adjacent dining room and reworking doorways to the family room, they unlocked a more open layout without adding square footage. This allowed for a highly efficient kitchen design featuring five feet of Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer, a professional 36″ Wolf range, a large island with a Wolf convection/steam oven, seating for four, and pantry cabinetry that wraps neatly around an inside corner.
Custom Cabinetry & Premium Finishes
The new kitchen showcases fully inset cabinetry for a refined, furniture-like appearance. The perimeter cabinets are custom-painted maple, adding softness and sophistication to the space. The inset island cabinetry, which is built from rift-cut white oak, introduces warmth and texture while serving as a central gathering point.
Quartzite LeBlanc countertops were selected for their durability and elegant natural patterning, complementing the cabinetry and the home’s hardwood floors.
Clean, Modern Details
Flat two-piece crown moulding and a minimalist range hood add subtle modern character. Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances from Yudin’s were installed flush with the cabinet faces to maintain clean, uninterrupted lines throughout the kitchen.
